I should hope so! If the methods you use in the lab don’t allow you to make reasonable conclusions from your data, you can’t get that work published. In science if you don’t publish then you will find it difficult to get funding for your work as the scientific community wil perceive that your data is not good enough. My boss is still willing to fund my research, so I presume that he thinks my data is good.
