• Question: Dear Mr Moss, I wonder whether it is possible to see if your brain doesn't convert the image upside down?

The answer is not really! But here’s an interesting point. There have been occasional patients whose problems have required surgery involving rotation of the eye (perhaps after injury or disease). The surgeons have to be really careful to avoid turning the eye. For example, if you turn the eye through 180 degrees, then you really would see everything upside down. Even a slight rotation would cause you to see a tilted world.
