Hi lozza. I was always interested in the world, and finding out how it works, but didn’t decide that I wanted to be a scientist until late in high school/early in university. Inspiring teachers got me hooked, and i have never regretted it.

      Hi Iozza

Actually no. When I was a teenager I was just desperate to be a musician/song-writer. I’m not bad at song-writing, but if I’m honest with myself I was never going to make the big time. Being a scientist is a very good alternative, and I still regularly play the guitar and write music for my own enjoyment.

      Hi lozza,
Yes I alwasy wanted to be a scientist. I just didnt know what kind of science I wanted to do. Eventually I chose biology and I’m really glad I did!

hi lozza2k11 i guess i never had a strong desire to be a scientist. I liked science at school, especially physics and a little bit chemistry, but it never crossed my mind that being a scientist was what i wanted to be. I kind of just decided to do something that i had some interest in, and over the years that interest has grown. I now find most of science interesting, even biology!

Not at all! I really didnt enjoy science at school, and to be honest I wasn’t very good at it. It was only when I got to university and realised that professional science is nothing like school science that I decided to pursue this as a career.
