      Hi taab,
it depends which ocean you are talking about and what part of the ocean you mean? For example, the atlantic ocean is only a few centimetres deep where it meets the beaches of England and Ireland!
But, the deepest part of any ocean is in the Mariana Trench which is in the Pacific Ocean and is about 10.9 kilometres deep!!!

      Hi Taab

I think the deepest trenches are off the coast of China and extend down several miles, but you’ll need to find an oceanographer for an accurate answer.

The depth of the ocean varies depending on where you are in the world. Wikipedia tells me that the average depth is 3,790 metres, and the deepest point in the ocean is 10,923 metres located within the Western pacific ocean and is a place known as the Challenger Deep

surely you know this??! I remember getting taught it at school, its the marianas trench in the pacific, at (ok i had to look this up!) 10,923 metres below sea level. So if you turned everest upside down and stuck it in the hole it would easilty swallow it up!!
