• Question: If there was a zombie apocalypse where would you camp, what guns would you use/pack a punch. What supplies would you use. What would you use as a shelter.

      To be honest, I’d probably just let myself get bitten! If the zombie films I’ve seen hold true, everyone in the world will soon be infected anyway, so it seems a bit silly to simply run away. However I guess an open playing field or some such would be the best place to set up camp since zombies are slow and I could probably outrun them if I wasn’t impeded by walls etc, I’d probably take a spade as a weapon since the only way to despatch of a zombie is to take of it’s head. I’d take my standard camping kit, although I don’t hink I would need the sleeping bag as it would be far to dangerous to stop anywhere to sleep, likewise a shelter – the important thing would be to keep moving.

      I doubt if you’d find me camping in such a situation. I think I’d find a zombie-free island and hope they never find me there.

      Did read a flat-out fantastic post-apocalyptic book recently though. It’s called “The Road”, by Cormac McCarthy, about a dad and his son trying to survive in the wake of an apocalypse that is never really explained, but sounds like a nuclear winter – no crops, no food. It is terrifying, but I couldn’t put it down. Sorry, no zombies, but some pretty scary dudes in it. It was made into a film recently, with Viggo Mortensen, but I haven’t seen it.

      hi starshipgalaxy after some pratical advice for the upcoming apocalypse? Great, i for one have always thought that it was only a matter of time before the zombies rose up against us, and demanded the earth for their own zombie kingdom!
      mmm not really sure what kills a zombie – someone should really write a manual for these kind of events…maybe a rocket launcher??!
      supplies – jam sandwiches. Love them and i’m pretty sure zombies don’t like jam (especially strawberry).
      dun’t know about a shelter – maybe a tall building, as i imagine zombies aren’t great at climbing stairs or using a lift!
