Hi lozza. I work with malaria parasites that could kill you if you accidentally infected yourself, although in reality the ones that we work with could be treated with drugs. We are very careful with them.

I have huge respect for people who work with other life-threatening organisms like Ebola Virus, for which there is no cure yet.

      Hi Iozza

I hope not. I certainly don’t do anything dangerous, like deep sea diving or crawling around in volcanoes.

thankfully no it’s not. I’m a bit of a wimp so that’s good. I’m not built for the joining the army or anything!

      Hi lozza,
No its not. We’re very careful to make sure that all the experiments are safe for people to do!

I certainly hope not! I don’t work with anything particularly dangerous in the lab, and even if I did, the Health and Safety committee at the University take every precaution to make sure us scientists are safe at work.
