      Hi helenstride,
      The most interesting thing about plants is something that I bet you already know!
      It is that plants use light to get their energy. Instead of eating things to get energy, they face the sun and soak up the enrgy that is coming down. They are the inventors of solar energy!!
      That might sound uninteresting but all of that energy then gets passed on to other animals and humans who eat those plants. So, when we eat fruit and veg from plants we are eating stuff that was powered by the sun! We are eating food that was created and grown by this massive star in the sky!
