Hi Emma,
i was OK. I was pretty good at physics and biology – but I was terrible at chemistry.
I think I just had good teachers and I tried my best. Lots of great scientists I know weren’t great scientists at school – it’s not until you reach university that you really start to enjoy it 🙂
hi emmajennings again! I guess i was yes! It was like a passion though, and the only thing i though about, it was juust an interest, which i then pursued a career in. That’s proabably pretty good advice really – do something your interested in, and work hard at it!! and things will then naturally work out!
I was quite interested in science at school, but I have to admit that I found the lessons a bit dull, especially physics. And I was a fairly average student, I certainly never thought then that I would end up with a career in science. In fact it wasn’t until after university that I really began to think seriously about becoming as scientist.
Hi Emma. Yes, always loved science, although while at school I loved history about as much. It wasn’t until I took a university class in molecular biology and learned how all the world can be boiled down to a code of 4 letters that I got flat out hooked on science. Couldn’t do anything else now 🙂
I was terrible at science in school, didn’t really get it, and didn’t understand maths which I thought was a barrier to becoming a scientist. However I started to get interested in the middle of year nine (just in the nick of time!) and managed to get myself onto the triple science course at school, i’ve never looked back!
