      Good question – I’ve heard of lots of ways to kill slugs in the garden (where they can be a real pest). People use salt or commercially available products that can poison the slugs.
      My favourite way to do it (and the most inventive, I think) is to put a small amount of beer in a shallow dish out in the garden. The slug is attracted to the beer and will drink it. The slugs get a little tipsy and drown in the beer!
