Question: What is your thought on the bp oil spill

Where to start? Having lived near that part of the world, the thought of the beaches covered in oil and the impact on people’s livelihood is pretty devestating. The root cause isn’t just BP though, it is our dependence on oil – if we didn’t need it, the Gulf of Mexico wouldn’t be covered in oil rigs trying to extract it. Renewable energy needs a whole lot more research money put into it – less money into marketing of petrol brands, more into research.
