Hi calypso. You don’t directly get anything, sorry to say! Neither do we – although there is a prize at the end of it, the prize is NOT to be used for our research, it is to be used for public engagement – ways of communicating to science to the most people possible, including students like you.

What you get from this thing is the chance to ask us questions about science and see how well we answer them, and what we get is the fun of answering them and trying to spread the word about what we do. Details of our research can be found on each of our profile pages – have a look through, and see if there is a science question that any of them bring to mind!

      Hi Calypso,
I don’t think you’ll get anything for voting – except for a great feeling of satisfaction for voting for the greatest scientist in the zone !! 🙂
There may well be a prize for the best question though — ask your teacher.

I’d be happy to visit your school and do some cool science tricks for you if I won!

      Hi Calypso

I think you would get that ‘warm inner glow’ of knowing you’ve done the right thing ;-). And if you check my profile you’ll see how I would use the prize money in a way that will benefit all those work-placement students who come to my lab every year.
