      Hi Lily

I’m doing IASGMOOH because I followed it last year on Twitter and it seemed like amazing fun – for the students, scientists and even the seriously stressed organisers. I wanted to have a go, and I love talking about science to students.

Hi lily. To me, one of the fun parts of being a scientist is communicating what you work on to other people, and try to help them understand it. I am enthusiastic about my field of research, malaria, and am also enthusiastic about the general impact that science can have on our world to make it better. It’s important to try to communicate that to other people, and I’m a Scientist is a particularly fun way of doing it. I have had a blast.

I hope it is also useful for you! The world needs more scientists, and events like this give students a chance to understand what being a scientist is like.
