      Hi bandd,
According to the physicists who study these things, yes it will but not for a ridiculously long time. We’re talking about millions and millions of years, so nothing for us to worry about!

Yes it will. When the life cycle of our star, the sun, comes to it’s end, it will expand to form something called a red giant which will engulf the Earth. Thankfully this is billions of years away, so nothing for us to worry about!

      Hi Bandd

Oh definitely. Have you watching Brian Cox and his Wonders of the Universe series. I think it was the first programme where he described what would happen when the sun finally fizzles out. When that time comes, the earth will certainly die.

Brian Cox says so, and I believe him! The sun is going to run out of energy one day, but I would be amazed if there are any humans left around to see it’s final days. given the length of time most species survive for.

      hi bannd again!
Yes the earth should die away eventually – everything does really! This is due to everything wish to head towards disorder – for its entropy to increase is what physicists say – as time passes. So just as a car will rust, the earth will die.
In several billion years the sun will started to expand into a red giant as its hydrogen fuel runs out, and this will probably mark the end of life on earth. In many many billions of years the universes atoms, including the earths, will all disintregrate, leaving just a soup of radiation across the whole universe. What a way to end!!
