• Question: Is there a way to create a fully functioning eye to cure blindness?

      At the moment no. But I know of scientists who are beginning to find ways of growing certain parts of the eye in the lab. To create a fully functional eye that way seems impossible at the moment, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t in progress somewhere in 20 years. But that won’t be end of the story. The eye has to be ‘wired’ to the brain via the optic nerve. Making that connection will be another huge challenge.
